Hua Die(Butterfly Lovers) is the iconic theme song of The Butterfly Lovers (commonly known as Liang Zhu ), a classic Chinese tragic love story. It exists in two classic forms: instrumental concerto and vocal performance. Its core melody is derived from The Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto , composed by He Zhanhao and Chen Gang in 1959. Later, numerous Mandarin vocal versions were created, including interpretations by Yan Weiwen, Zhuo Yiting, Mao Ning, and the Black Duck Chorus.
