Jiu Zhang Ji draws inspiration from the Jiu Zhang Ji(Nine Pieces of Brocade) , a folk cipai (fixed-tune poetic form) of the Song Dynasty. The modern version retains the classical literary tradition of using weaving looms as a metaphor for time and emotions, while incorporating modern musical elements to create an auditory experience that transcends time and space.
