Some experienced players may challenge the extreme range of the bamboo flute by playing with a largeG5-pitchedbamboo flute and aD2-pitchedone. To reduce the difficulty a bit, they can also play with a largeG5-pitchedand a smallG5-pitchedbamboo flute. Of course, it can also be performed as an ensemble with aG-keyedxiao (Chinese vertical bamboo flute) and a smallG-keyedbamboo flute.
