Taking the
tube-tone as 5
is the most commonly used fingering for the bamboo flute, and it is usually the introductory fingering for the bamboo flute. It should be noted that playing the higher notes requires stronger breath control and more accurate coordination of fingerings. In actual performance, continuous practice is needed to master the playing techniques of each note proficiently, so as to achieve accurate and smooth playing effects.Although there may be multiple fingerings for the bamboo flute to produce the same note, some of them are not commonly used. In the above fingering chart, the notes of
middle 4
,middle 5
,high 4
, andhigh 5
all have two fingerings. The former one is the commonly used fingering, but when playing decorative notes such as appoggiaturas, finger tapping notes, and glissandos during the performance, the latter fingering is often used as well. Therefore, both fingerings must be mastered.
