Adapted from the Northern Shaanxi folk song Blossoms on the Cliffside , it features re-written lyrics by Yao Qian, adapted composition by Wang Liguang, arrangement by Zhong Chenghu, and is performed by Rene Liu. Later included in Rene Liu's album Heard? , released in October 2004, it has become one of her representative works and a highly popular nostalgic golden song, renowned for its emotional expression that resonates with the film and its lingering melody.
The song is a brand-new adaptation based on the original melody of the Northern Shaanxi folk song.
